The Inspectorate has now given HDC the recommendations for amendments to the Local Plan 2036 in order to make the plan compliant. It is good news for Bluntisham in the fact that the Inspectorate has now removed the Local Service Centre status and asked that those parishes within this new status return to Small Settlements. Also all plans and sites associated with these categories to be removed.
This is good news, but not the end…………one of the draft allocation sites is being considered by the Development Management Committee on Monday 19th November. The parish council will be attending and will present to the committee the facts behind why we feel this application should be refused in its current format. Ever fancied growing your own fruit and veggies…..? Well now you can. Bluntisham Parish Council have 2 half plots available for the coming season all cleared and ready to start. Plots are £20 per year and include water. A wealth of experts, ok, keen willing folk are on hand to give you top tips and advice on what to grow and when to grow it.

The AGM for the allotment committee is being held on Thursday 1st November from 7pm in Bluntisham Village Hall. Why not pop along and meet some of the committee members ahead of making your decision.

The good news is the Inspectorate has agreed with the Parish Council that the Local Plan 2036 is not sound in its current state. Further public consultation will have to take place in due course.
